  Getting There – Flights.

  You can choose from 4 airports to get you into Lake Como. So you can select whatever is cheapest/most convenient for your selected dates:

  1. Milano Malpensa, Milan (MXP) – about 40 minutes away from Como town.

  2. Linate Airport, Milan (LIN) – about 50 minutes away from Como town.

  3. Milan Bergamo (BGY) – approximately 70 minutes away from Como but has the most regular flights from Stanstead

  4. Lugano, Switzerland (LUG) – you can fly into Switzerland and drive over the border, this is unlikely to require any checks – around 40 minutes from Como.

  Your Stay – Accommodation

  Your choice for where you stay will depend on preference & budget. They can really range in Lake Como. There are also lots of air bnbs to choose from too.

  Many of you have said you would like to be in the same hotel so you can be together, so we are just in the process of arranging a price for this with some hotels & will let you know about this asap.

  Getting Around.

  We have always chosen to rent a car as it is moderately priced and works out cheaper to rent a car for the duration of your stay than getting a taxi to the airport and back (approx. 75 – 110 euros each way dependant on which airport you are coming from) but of course, this is dependant if you are comfortable driving abroad. You can get also trains and buses from the airport into Como, which will the cheapest method of transport.

  Lake Como, translated to, Lago Di Como is in the middle of the mainland region of Lombardy which is very close to border with Switzerland (you can very easily drive to Switzerland for day trips) and is the shape of an upside down Y.

  Once you’ve arrived in Lake Como, boat is a good use of transport – either private taxis or public ferrys.

  The Wedding Venue Location.

  The wedding venue is Villa Regina Teodolinda. The address is Via Vecchia Regina, 58, 22010 Laglio CO, Italy. This is around 20 minutes drive from the main town Como.

  The venue located on the south west of lake, near the town of Como. The venue itself is in a relatively small town so we would recommend staying close to Como itself which is the where the Lake ends to South West, there are a lot of restaurants and bars in the town and good transport links.
